‘Giggino ‘o bello’ is a short film produced at La Poudrière (a school of animation directing in Valence, France), which tells the story of an elderly criminal raising his young grandson in a basement in Naples. When the boy is old enough to venture out into the outside world, he discovers a freedom that his grandfather left behind years ago. The old criminal must weigh up the price of this freedom and decide whether to grant it to his grandson, or not.
