THE STUDIO
We build worlds, frame by frame.
Mission:
IBRIDO is an independent animation studio based in Italy that has been making 2d, 3d and Stop-motion animation since 2016, ranging from film to music-videos, commercials, video-games and VR.
Our focus is to co-produce with international partners while building up an Italian network, sharing art and culture, growing both as a company and as human beings.
Company History:
After training at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia - Animation school and working on different projects in Italy and abroad, we got together one evening in Turin and, after a beer (or maybe two) and a ‘bicerin’ (or maybe two), we had an idea.
The idea to create something new, fresh and dynamic, that doesn’t uniform our different styles under a label, but enhances them, giving space to a vision of artistic, handcrafted and choral animation that we can develop together.
From blending our differences, we have created IBRIDO.
A team that can manage almost any kind of project, from writing to post-production, experimenting with all sorts of techniques and dedicating to commissioned projects the same passion, care and precision that we dedicate to our personal projects.
Over the last few years, we have made films such as "The Steinway" (2016) and "Imperium Vacui" (2014), both finalists at the Nastri d’Argento (Italian Film Awards), and the latter selected at Annecy International Animation Festival; "Where are you hiding" (2013) awarded at Giffoni Film Festival; and films such as "Office Kingdom" (2014), "Water Hunters" (2017) and "Corkscrewed" (2019) which have had been screened in many festivals worldwide.
We work regularly with public and private clients such as Lavazza, International Labor Organization, Mibac (Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities), De Agostini, Clementoni, Luc Toutounghi (Oscar winning producer of 'Peter and the wolf'), Chris Bangle & Associates and Mira Video.
Everything we do is IBRIDO (hybrid).
Even when we take part in projects by other authors such as 'Nobody will find me' by Egidio Eronico (2015), 'Framed' by Marco Jemolo (2017), 'The Nap' by Adolfo di Molfetta (2018), 'Nero Nero' by Marta Gennari for Lo Zecchino D'Oro (2018) and 'Fernet' by Petralana (2019), we always try to give an original and distinctive contribution.
We are currently developing projects such as 'Tufo', a 26’ TV special by Victoria Musci co-produced by France and Italy, 'Anselmo Wannabe', a TV series by Massimo Ottoni presented at Cartoon Forum (2021), and 'Kilo's Early Show', a TV series by Cristina Mazzocchi and Federico Turani.
